Joseph + Jean Engagement | San Francisco | DeYoung Museum | Baker Beach | Presidio
So hard to update all our online outlets as always but I have decided to just duplicate posts from my main blog to keep things simple for now. Oh yea my blog went through a total redesign so pics are insanely large now.
Engagement shoots are on my list of “most fun” types of shoots. It makes me so fuzzy wuzzy on the inside just seeing two people in love with each other and having the honors of capturing it!
As I create my wedding packages, I want to include an engagement shoot in every single one because not only is it one of my favorite things to do but it allows me to get to know the clients (and them to get comfy with me) well enough so that we are comfortable with each other on the most important day!
It was simply bliss shooting Joseph and Jean’s engagement! Good thing they had a hybrid car because we drove around the city alot finding good places to shoot! Thanks for driving Joseph! I can tell that Joseph and Jean really love each other which makes them naturals at posing because they are so comfortable with each other! Made my job easier and more fun seeing how two people can be so perfect for each other! But I had to try to force myself to try different things for some shots and I have to hand it to Joseph and Jean for being willing! Can’t wait to shoot your wedding! It’s going to be my first =).
Oh boy, so much has happened in the past few weeks! I keep telling myself I shouldn't neglect this xanga but it's been hard keeping up with all these online outlets we have!
So I'm skipping ahead to the present because I (Lynn) was able to attend Scott Robert's SF Workshop this past weekend (Please check my blog or the Flickr site to see the backlogged pics that aren't posted here). I learned so much! For a more personal view on things please do look at my personal blog at bloglkc.kaitanium.com.
I am going to continually update this post as I finish editing my pictures. So keep checking back for the latest updates until I finish all my pics! I do feel like my work has been taken to the NEXT LEVEL!
I should also note that contrary to our description and info, we have ended our free period of shooting now. But we do have introductory rates. Please contact us with your job and we'll see what we can do for you! ______________________________________
We had the opportunity to shoot our friend's band named A Year Remains last month. I keep saying sorry for the lack of updates simply because we have been busy and too busy to update all our online outlets sometimes! But here are the pictures at last. It was a fun shoot nevertheless and more practice for us. We really love photographing people and every opportunity, big or small, is a cherished one!
I you would like to hear their music, they have multiple venues coming up in the near future including one at the Underground Cafe at Roseville on April 4 from 8-10:30. A couple of other bands will be playing too. There is a $10 fee to get in. Or you can check out their Myspace profile at http://www.myspace.com/ayearremains
Remember that if you want photos, we are currently still shooting for free (depending on your event and organization) for personal photoshoots! So book your times in if you want us to photograph your occasion soon
And as always check out our Flickr site or join our Facebook group for all the pictures and latest updates.
Apologies for the lack of updates, the rain had us rained out for a couple weeks! But I just completed a slideshow for Amy & Andrew's engagement! Enjoy! It's our first engagement and first slideshow at that! This software is the popular software by the famous wedding photography David Jay called Showit. It is truely an awesome program with no competition! ______________________________________
One day doing wedding photography is the main goal of us two here at Plainsight. We love wedding imagery and the art of it all that we can't wait to get started. But to get there we need to be patient and learn a few things first which is why we are doing photography for free currently.
When Amy contacted us to do an engagement shoot for her, I couldn't tell you how excited we were to finally be able to do the very thing we are in business for. So before I begin, I just want to thank Amy and Andrew for allowing us the honor of shooting your engagement pictures!
We went to Napa Valley to shoot and there couldn’t have been a better
location up here! So many beautiful vineyards, so many different types
of architecture, so much nature! Not to mention that Amy and Andrew
both love wine! It was perfect for us as the photographers and them as
the wine connoisseurs! Thank God it wasn’t going to rain that day but
the rain the days before left some pretty dramatic cloud cover for us
to work with. We basically followed them around for the entire day and
went vineyard hopping.
We got a whole bunch of great shots that we can't all post here so head on over to our Flickr!
If you want us to do your engagement, we'd be more than happy to schedule you in!!!
